Seasonality & Best Time to Travel to Mauritius
Mauritius is a year-round destination, with every season offering its own distinct atmosphere.
West – Flic en Flac, Wolmar, Tamarin and Black River
The west is the most reliable all-year option and especially useful during the wetter summer months. It generally receives less rain than the east and south and offers sunset-facing beaches. For calm swimming in winter, Flic en Flac and Wolmar are usually better choices than the more exposed Le Morne area.
South and southeast –Bel Ombre, Blue Bay and Le Morne
These areas suit travellers seeking nature, quiet resorts and dramatic scenery. For a general beach holiday, October through April is preferable.
